The staff is extremely friendly, efficient and able to communicate effectively in English. They will always smile and say hello to you when passing by. And their service is always very responsive with any queries. The bedrooms are modern, clean and a decent size. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet. They are equipped with a T.V., mini bar, safe and a water kettle. Bathrooms are a good size. They are clean and stocked with fresh towels daily. There is free Wi-Fi as well. Hotel Laurus al Duomo has a good travel library from where you can borrow books about Italy.
The highlight of the Hotel Laurus al Duomo is the top floor with a terrace that offers stunning views of the Duomo. In the morning breakfast is served here. It consists of scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, pastries, fruit, juice and hot coffee. Breakfast might be included when you book your room, if not there is an additional charge. The breakfast staff is also very helpful. In the evening the wine bar is open. It is the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the gorgeous views as the sun goes down. They also offer a limited menu of pasta, pizza and platters of sliced meat and cheese.
Hotel Laurus al Duomo also has a nice little cafe attached to the reception area. They serve really good coffee and delicious assorted pastries and cakes.
