It is served in an elegant dining room overlooking the Grand Canal. During warm weather they have breakfast out on the gorgeous terrace. It provides a terrific view of the canal, great for watching the gondoliers ply their trade.
Extremely helpful concierge and reception. They offer all their guests warm hospitality and excellent service. Nothing is ever too much trouble or a problem. Every request is attended to within minutes.
Bar area is lovely to relax in with a bottle of wine after a long day of walking. It has great views of San Giorgio Maggiore and Santa Maria della Salute Venice (Church of Santa Maria della Salute).
When booking at Bauer Hotel Venice, please note they have a “sister” hotel around the corner. When the hotel is full, they bring their guests to Casanova Hotel. Make sure to book directly through the hotel and ask information on the type of room booked. In the past management has blamed travel agents for failing to point out the difference.
Room Tip: A front or side room with a balcony overlooking the canal. It’s worth it.
