Hotel Raphael – Rome
Hotel Raphael is a thoughtfully executed boutique hotel tucked away a minute from Piazza Navona. In my opinion Hotel Raphael is one of the finest, most luxurious hotels in Rome. Before you make it to the door, the smell of the sweetest flowers greets you! A long flower cascade falls down the hotel walls; just like a waterfall.
Hotel Raphael was founded in 1963 by a man named Spartaco Vannoni and has accommodated guests from all over the world ever since. The massive reception desk made out of wood at the entrance of the hotel has statue faces on top of it. When looking at these art pieces it doesn’t really remind you a thing about ancient Rome but this is the reason why the decoration of this hotel is so special, nothing really fits with anything and yet these different art exhibitions and decorations go together in perfect harmony.
Hotel Raphael is somewhat like an art gallery and it actually does have some important art pieces, for example from the artist Picasso. Hotel Raphael also offers remodeled Executive floors projected by the famous American architect Richard Meier. If you go way up to the roof top, you’ll find a restaurant and bar. The whole place is surrounded by flowers, palm trees and pretty Mediterranean plants. The seats and tables are covered with white colored sunshades which really look fancy and perfectly fit in which the white church tops which you can see from the hotels roof top terrace. This could also be the perfect setting for a special occasion like a birthday or a wedding.
Hotel Raphael has all kinds of rooms; all of them are of a reasonable size and modern looking. The bathrooms are out of marble, this massive shiny stone gives the whole atmosphere a very exclusive touch. The staff of the Hotel Raphael makes you feel special through their attentive nice little final touches. For example you’ll find fruit, chocolate or a bottle of water in your room when you at least expect it. Fast working Wi-Fi is free of charge at Hotel Raphael as well, which is a huge plus point. Breakfast is fantastic and you’ll have a wide choice of everything you can just think of, from cold to hot foods – everything is displayed just wonderfully, you’ll simply be astonished. Hotel Raphael is certainly a place where everyone wants to come back too and your trip will be a memorable one, receiving the attention and service you deserve with starting prices at 200.00 Euro per night for a double room.
